Assisi Peace Walk & World Prayer for Peace Day
October 15 to October 29, 2011
Elizabeth HeartStar Keller is joining Peace Troubadour James Twyman and 30 Peace Pilgrims for a 116 mile Peace Walk from La Verne to Assisi, Italy following in the footsteps of Saint Francis, culminating with the World Prayer for Peace Day
on October 27, 2011 with the Leaders of the 12 major World Religions.
Elizabeth is requesting your support in order to make this pilgrimage possible. With your sponsorship, Elizabeth will walk 12 to 20 miles a day, carrying in her heart your name and prayers for peace. She is grateful she is able to bring others with her in this way and wishes to thank you for any donation you can afford to make toward this important peace pilgrimage.
For those able to sponsor the journey with a donation of £22 or $33.00 or more, a quartz crystal bead will be placed on a peace prayer necklace in your name with your prayers of peace. Elizabeth will wear the necklace throughout the Peace Pilgrimage, and will then send you the crystal bead and an Assisi thank you postcard.
Elizabeth will be walking on October 19th, her 60th birthday, in memory and celebration of Wilma Keller, her mother, who devoted her life to Peace, Non-Violence and Human Rights. She was a founding member of the 1967 peace organization,
